Brighton & Hove Albion’s 2024-25 campaign was properly unpredictable—one minute we’re buzzing, the next it’s all a bit flat. Following the success of previous seasons and the excitement surrounding De Zerbi, everyone on the South Coast had high expectations. However, due to accumulating injuries and the departure of several prominent players, the Seagulls found themselves occupying the mid-table position. Still, the young players showed promise, and the Amex was never easy for us.
Determined not to stand still, the club moved sharply in the summer window, sniffing out defensive reinforcements and a bit more magic in midfield. As preseason for 2025-26 rolled round, the focus was clear: get fitter, get stronger, and give the fans something to sing about—whether that’s a top-half push or a proper cup run.
Then came a real shake-up in the dugout. Fabian Hürzeler, a 31-year-old from St. Pauli, replaced De Zerbi in the dugout. Hürzeler, renowned for his tactical acumen and knack for nurturing young talent, ignited a debate among the Albion supporters—could this mark the beginning of something truly remarkable at the seaside?
