ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Warren Gregson is Professor of Exercise Physiology in the Football Exchange and Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University and currently Head of Sports Science at Aspire Academy and the Qatar Football Association. Over the last two decades, he has conducted extensive research in the areas of match analysis, training and recovery whilst serving as a performance consultant to elite clubs, national federations and key industry stakeholders. Dr Martin Littlewood is a Reader in Performance Psychology and Head of the Football Exchange at the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University. He has been a BASES-accredited Accredited Applied Practitioner for 15 years and has acted as a consultant in a number of Premier League clubs during this period supporting Academy and 1st teams. His research interests focus on a range of topics within the area of performance psychology and the applied translation into practice.
