He was born in Churchtown on June 12th, 1915, and passed away in Redbridge, England, on September 14th, 2003, at the age of 88. He married Caroline Smith in Dagenham, Essex, in 1939 and had five children: Margaret, Michael, Robert, and twins Brian (1951–1999) and Peter.
